Scoly input PLEASE!

Hello Everyone,

I am looking at purchasing a scoly from a fellow reefer that lives roughly 4 hours away and as such I am unable to see it in person. The fellow reefer is going to send me additional pictures of the scoly around 5 pm today, but as such this is the only picture I currently have to make a decision on.

In the picture, the furthest part of the scoly appears to be almost white. I am not sure it that is due to a glare from the picture, a loss of color, or if it is skeleton. But you will notice that the polyp of the scoly is nicely inflated and shows very nice coloration on the near side.

Let me know what you think...should I get it or not?

looks nice and healthy. The white part is the color of the coral polyp. Many scolys have "smears" of white over a colored background.

Agree as well. Looks like a baby but it looks healthy. Some of the white could be sand but have also seen white splotches on scolys before too.

Just my opinion. It looks heatlthy, but nothing special. I wouldn't drive 4 hours to get a scoly that looks like that. A lot nicer out there. Good luck!

if you have nothing near youits allways worth it.have you tried to ship it by bus we do it around hear.

I am definitely not driving 4 hours for some coral! Haha. I am having it, along with some acans shipped to me. For the price of the scoly and the acans it is a heck of a deal!

I definitely do not have very much near me! One LFS frags scolys into 1/4's (never seen this and not willing to pay $80 for a 1/4 of a scoly) and the other one only orders nice scolys and acans on special order and they must be payed in full before even seeing the specimen. :spin2:
