We have a scoly that we have had for about a week, and now our royal gramma is getting sand all over it..
Should I use a turkey baster to blow it off or leave it?

Our royal gramma has been dive bombing the sand bed and i dont want the sand to hurt our scoly... Please help!

You can blow it off but it can also remove it itself. Ideally your flow should keep it clean. The fish will get used to it or you may have to move it.

A little info on the scoly, we are trying to heal it.. It had receded down to the size of a nickel and the guy we got it from had healed it and it was growing so we are continuing the process of healing it.

thats true........... sometimes when i clean i get sand on my scollies and they clean themself off all the time

Ohhh good luck, I have never had any luck bringing those back once they start receeding. Knowing that it is weak, I'd blow the sand off. It doesn't need the stress of doing it itself.
