hey i was wondering if anybody from the area would be interested in starting a more local club/branch of NCPARS? sorry if this is the wrong forum for this kinda thing.

I believe we can set up local meetings as part of the club just like the recent one hosted by one of the members. This allows anyone in the club to participate if they choose. I think that creating a local branch of NCPARS would seem a little unfair to the members that do not live in this area. I don't think it should branch out as a separate club, not saying that this is the intention. On the other hand, it would be nice to have something close by. Unfortunately for us in this area, we don't have many if any salt water specialty stores nearby. I usually have an hour drive minimum for any NCPARS event but I am sure there are people that have to drive even further so I am not complaining.

Exactly Al and well said.Truly its unfair and you would be looking at a group of maybe 3 or 4 people in most cases.Our area is huge with members from several different states (sparsly spread out)and we had a meeting last week with only around 24 people attending.And thats with about 100 or so people at the swap on the same campus as the meeting.7 or so of that # were the BOD.You would have trouble assembling enough people to make it worthy of any effort unfortunately.
However I do like the idea of getting together every month or 2 for a members meeting and I would attend if we could get enough interested people.
