now that i have replaced all my light bulbs (much more blue) for some reason i now can see ALL the scratches on the inside of my tank:( the scratches are driving me crazy, they look like sh1t:( most of the scratches are very fine but some are larger. my tank is an oceaniac with starphire glass and is only a few years old. is there ANYTHING i can doo???? ANYTHING? i have always been very cautious when cleaning the glass. does the starphire glass just scratch e-z er?

Starfire does scratch easier than regular glass.

Unfortunatly, You will need to empty tank

One way to remove scratches is with Cerium Oxide powder.
A few places sell kits that include powder and buffing pad.

I did it on a used 120 Tech. It takes quite a while to remove them.
If you can't feel scratch with fingernail it should come out.

Good luck.

One way of limiting the amount that you see the scratches if your tank has is deep enough (not how tall but how wide from the wall) you can move your lights back a tad more towards to the tank back. If your rockwork and tank width will allow it can minimize the reflections and refractions off of the scratches and they may not be as noticable.
