Here's a section from my big roll. They're pretty small squares? Too small?

Hi guys! rockland county here! i have the 1/4" it works great, though none of my fish are really jumpers.

Justin i feel like that screen will block too much light, just look at what it does to sunlight coming through a window. if you put it over the tank you'll see how much light it actually absorbs. or if some one local has a par-meter, just take readings with the net, and with out, it should be pretty significant (speculation)

NP if you where closer id give you what i have left over, but i got mine from HD its was in the same section that had (i had originally thought garden area but apparently its not categorized like that here);

The only 1/4" screen I could find at Lowes or HD here in Rochester was made out of metal. I looked in both the window repair and garden sections, but I could have easily glanced over it. Justin, what size tank are you puting the screen over?

yea the HD guys thought it was in either of those places, but when i explained it as a smaller version of that orange netting they took me to where they had that(referring to the pic in my previous post) and thats where i found the 1/4" netting.

It's going over a 58g column. 20x18x28.

Wait a sec...1/4" still won't work I don't think. The eel is a juvi and I bet it could make it thru that size still...hmmmm

Not sure how thin the eel is, but the 1/4'' holes are to small to put a normal #2 pencil through.

Its head is about the thickness of a pencil. Also, that tank only has a toadstool, some palys up high and a yuma also in the upper portion of the tank. I think I can get away with my small-holed screening.

Justin what size do you need, I may have enough left over 1/4"? I used window screen until my netting arrived and it blocked a surprising amount of light. I would not recommend window screen.

Thx for the offer but I'm still concerned that the eel could make it through the 1/4". It's quite small still. If there was a size between the two that would work...our I could leave as is until the eel gets a but bigger. It shouldn't take long..that badboy has a voracious appetite.
