Scribbled Angel Juvenile

Here are some photos of my Scribbled Angel Juve. Can't get the fish to stay still enough to get good photos. Anyone else have a Juve. Scribbled or seen pics of them? I can't find a photo of them anywhere and books that I've seen don't even recognize juveniles in this form, they show they after they have turned into almost adult phase.

I have a juvi like that. Got it from DD right before the first of the year. It is still in QT and is doing well. Mine is just starting to show some white in the yellow band behind the head, but like you said it is in constant motion (worse than my fairy wrasses) and I haven't been able to get any good pictures of it. Here are the best I have.

Nice! I know they sold either 2 or 3 of them, but have never heard of or seen them for sale anywhere else or any pics of them. We are the first that should show up on searches now.

Are you trying to pair yours? It looks like it. I think it would be really cool to have a pair of them, but don't have the room (150 gal 72x24x20), so will have to settle for just one. Still should be cool.

Good luck with yours. Have you had any issues with it so far?

wow dustin, how big is your scribbled? twice the size of a quarter??

i think one of my scribbled angels is transitioning into a male. the lines on its body is getting straight rather than maze like.

i had them separated with egg crate b/c i was separating an emperor with another fish. when i took the egg crate out. the larger scribbled(~5") wont quit going after the smaller one(4"). so i threw the larger one in the sump.

what aggravates me is that they were fine together for months without issues until i had an egg crate splitting my tank in half for 3 weeks.

Coexist or pair, yes. Right now there is a huge difference in size and with the small one still having juvenile coloration, so there hasn't been any aggression or problems at all.

Geaux xman, it is 2 inches in total length tops. So yes, tiny and might not even be two quarters. My bigger one is approx. 6 inches and seems to be changing a bit, hopefully into a male. The white on the gills has been getting bigger, the body seems to be elongating a bit and the tail and yellow line the length of the top of the fish seem to be looking more male over time.

Well good luck with the "pair." Sounds like our juveniles are about the same size. Mine came in just under 2". It is probably about 2 1/4" now. Can't wait to watch it change from juvenile to adult coloration.
