sea hare rental

Anybody have a sea hare I could rent or borrow for a couple of days. I have a green hair algae issue that is becomming annoying. I have fixed all the traditional causes but I want to accelerate the removal process.

Do you have tangs? When I moved my tangs to my bigger tank they tore up the hair I had growing at the surface.

Yea, I have a tang and a lawnmower and they do pretty good on the shorter stuff but the long hair is getting somewhat unmanageable.

Turbos have done a great job for me. Of course they can be annoying as they lumber around knocking things off - but they can make hair algae go away fast.

I second the turbos. Emerald crabs can also help.

I love my turbo's and emeralds, they do a great job. My turbo's actually ate all of red bubble algae in the display then one spent a wind in the fuge and got that all cleaned up too. My wife got me a tuxedo urchin as a stocking stuffer and it has been tearing into the algae pretty good too.

most of the hair algae eaters wont touch the long stuff, ive been fighting it for over a year. the thing i found is if you try and pull the long stuff the critters will come along and eat the short stuff and the roots
