I got my sea hare about a week ago and he likes to stay hidden.
he is very slow and is not eating like I thout they were suposte to .

Is this right?

I drip acclimated for 2hr.:sad2:

They eat a lot. Do you have loads of algae for it to eat, if not it's likely doomed to starve. I had one for a while it ate all the large patches of algae, and never found the smaller patches, or sheets of nori I dropped alongside it to supplement. Eventually it starved.

Like Chuck says, most are cryptic or nocturnal, or both. You'll almost never see one around the reef unless you are night diving or flipping rocks. Dolabella auricularia often buries itself in the sand.

Cheers,

Don
