Sea Hare?

It's in the clump of hair algae and it's white with semi-long strings coming out of it. Looks fuzzy:rolleyes:

Does it crawl around your tank or does it stay right there? The pic is a little too fuzzy for me to blow up and try to see details, but I don't see anything in that pic that looks like a sea hare. I can't think of any that are bumpy or have strings coming out of them... If you can get your camera to focus on the fuzzy thing you're referring to, I'm sure someone can ID it. You might try getting it to focus on SOMETHING, then hold the button down slightly to keep it from refocusing, and simply moving the camera until the subject appears in focus, and then take the pic. This works with most of the autofocus digitals.

Cheers,

Don

There are more string things coming out of the rock. They look like the antennas of snails. I got the rock for free yesterday night and the stringy things that are coming out of the rock are in the rock. They don't look like aiptasia strings but IDK maybe they're just hitchhiker snails. I'll go to the store and buy a peppermint shrimp just to be safe.

Yes, that's clearer, thanks. It looks like a sponge to me, but if it crawls, of course it isn't. I'm out of my field here, but I'm sure one of the others will either confirm that or correct me.

Cheers,

Don

Hmm, I've never seen a sponge that has strings coming out of it. I'll keep an eye on it. I haven't seen it move yet. If it does end up moving then I'll have my siphon ready for removal.
