Anyone have one or a few? How good have they been at getting rid of hair algae?

Yes. It depends which species you have. Dolabella is about the best for hair algae, but it's big and eats a lot. Most tanks can't produce enough algae to support one for long. I've kept most of the other species in the hobby at one point or another and Aplysia spp. tend to work too, but a lot of them get even bigger than Dolabella and aren't as common in the hobby.
