sea swirl question..

I am thinking about getting 2 for my dolphin ampmaster 3600... is this too much flow for them?

Of course flow rate goes down as the water goes up..

I am thinking about these because of the better flow, and it will solve the problem of my sump overflowing for the outlets of my tank are below my overflows... so an extra 2 inches of water flows back the pipes.... which amounts to .. alot..

I have a 225 gal 30x72x2 inches... how many gallons is that?

thanks

its only 2 inches high?!

sorry i had to..i think you mean 2 feet or 24 inches in that case i would assume that 2/24 inches equals 1/12 and

1/12 x 225 gallons is18.75 gallons would be the figure

you would be dealing with a 18.75 gallons of change

ANYONE DISSENT?

thanks I figured that out...About 3 dollars in elbows from home depot can save me from spilling 5 gallons of water on my floor when the power goes out...

Next day off...

I just put on 2 1" Sea Swirls and love em. Each one has half the flow of a Dart. It needs 2 links of Loc-line to aim down at all though.

Sea Swirls are nice, but not worth the money new IMO. The most I'd pay for a 1" would be $100 beyond that they are not worth the money IMO.

I talked to sea swirl, and they told me the flow I will be pushing through them will blow out the o rings...

So I guess no sea swirl.
