i'm considering using a 1/2 sea swirl with a mag 7. is the sea swirl effactive? does it really make a difference?

it adds random flwo to your tank yes i like them but i think a close loop would be the first step then maybe a output of a seaswirl would be a great addition.

I have used Sea Swirls for years and love them. I'm in the process of starting a new large system and will be using 4-3/4" units. I will be honest however and say they have not run without issues. They do have issues with either the motor stopping or at times the acrylic plate that rotates the output nozzle breaking. However the company has always been good about repairing the problems in a very timely manner. Even with the shortcomings of the mechanics it is still my favorite water movement device device I have used in my 11 years of keeping reefs.
