Hello.
I just bought the Seachem mag/Alk test kit and have a couple questions regarding the MAG tests.
1.) when adding titration to the test sample from the syringe, when I am done, the black plunger is at .25 at the lower end and the top of the black plunger is at .15. I assume this means that I subtract .25 from 1.00 meaning I used .75 of titration showing a Magnesium level of about 875. Is this the correct way to measure the test?
2.) when doing the test, when the color changes to blue, I notice that there is a point where the bottom of the sample does not change blue, but rather just the top two thirds change to blue. I then have to add another few drops to get the rest of the test sample to change to blue. I assume once th whole sample changes to blue, that is thent the correct reading. Is this an accurate statement or do I take the measurement when 2/3 of the purple changes to blue?
Thanks!
