SeaClone protein skimmer question

When I first started my saltwater tank it was given to me by a friend, I asked around and heard alot of negative things about it so I just went and purchased the cpr bakpak 2r+...so I still have it laying around and am about to start up a new tank with a sump after the holidays...

My question is, is there a way I can modify it so I can use it on my next tank or just leave it alone and get another skimmer??

I got one for free. Tried it, hated it, modded it, hated it, tried to give it away and eventually tossed it in the trash where it belongs. Now I use the pump for mixing salt. IMO it's garbage and I would t waste my time.

Ive heard this story too often...I wont throw it away though I might just give it back to my friend

Yeah those are total garbage not worth the electricity..
