Seagrass and tangs

Before planting seagrass in my tank, I want to know if I'm just buying expensive tang food. I have a Zebrasoma flavesenes (yellow tang) and a Ctenochaetus strigosus (Kole tang).

in my experience, no they wont eat it. they might pick stuff off of it, but wont eat the grass directly. i had turtle, manatee and shoal grass and my yellow tang never touched it except to pick ittle things off it.
