i cant see him eat.........but i added reefpods and i think the seahores eats them he has been doing fine for 2 months but i dont know

Unless it is a dwarf seahorse, reefpods (tisbe pods) won't sustain the seahorse too long. If your seahorse isn't eating frozen mysis shrimp, they really need to be fed larger live foods - amphipods, live mysis, ghost shrimp, etc.

He should eat ghosts if they are the appropriate size. IME some of the larger ghosts are just to big to be eaten by seahorses.

I would feed fresh water feeders as opposed to salt water to reduce the risk of parasite introduction. You can go through a process to deworm the salt water feeders but easier and cheaper IME to just get the fresh water species.

Switching the seahorse to a frozen food will save you a couple grand a year. Been there, done that.

If you haven't seen the seahorse eat, have you seen it poop? Lack of eating and pooping is a very bad sign. Is the seahorse in a QT tank? When I get a new seahorse it goes into a QT tank which is barebottom for the first 6 weeks. That way I know exactly how much it is eating and how much it is pooping. Makes determining health much easier.

Could you tell us a little more about your seahorses? What kind are they?

h. reidi?
h. kuda?
h. kelloggi?
h. comes?

And can you tell us a little more about your tank?

I had trouble with our h. comes eating as well and now have them feeding on live ghost shrimp...

Let us know how that works for you!

i have an 55gallon with an 6in kuda with about 40 pounds of live rock im getting more soon i have had so much problemes with him but im countting on the shrimp to feed him i will let you know how it goes..

i just bought 250 saltwater ghost shrimp

Make sure to treat them for parasites before feeding them to your seahorse.
