Seahorse dying?

Hello, I have had my first seahorse for the past three weeks. All was going well until a few days ago. It is a H.Reidi. I have been feeding it two times a day PE mysis. The other day I noticed him flopping around and struggling. His tail was inside a hole in a piece of live rock...it looked as though he were stuck. I gently pulled his tail out...which indeed felt stuck. I do know that there is a small hitchiker crab in that piece of live rock...it looks somewhat like an emerald crab but is light tan in color. Could the crab of grabbed hold of its tail? Could its tail have just gotten stuck? Well, after 2 days his tail (bottom portion) has become white...he has not eaten for 2 days. I do not have a quarantine tank...I do have seachem's iodine disinfectant dip....any point or way to use this? Any suggestions would be helpful.

You can get a 10 gallon hospital tank from most places (walmart, decently priced LFS, etc.) for $10-$12. I would buy one and put him in it (with airlines or other means of water movement & gas exchange). I would also bring the temperature down to 68* in the display now, and then in the HT once you buy it and get it set up. Bio-bandage would also be helpful.

The iodine dip is for corals, not fish, and a cleaner shrimp isn't going to be able to help with a bacterial infection.
