Seahorse in nano?

if its species only i dont see why not... but i think you have to keep the temp lower for sea horses and im not sure about corals doing well in that.... there is a seahorse forum

Most likely not.

Only speices you can have in there long term are the smaller dwarfs/ pygmy sea horses that require live foods every day.

The larger breeds get well over 6 inches, some reaching 10 or 12 and a 15 will not be suitable.

Like mentioned above, temperature is difficult because sea horses need their temp no higher than about 75 (72 is about ideal).

Check out the sea horse forum here and research more if you are really interested.

If you are really interested go to seahorse.org its an awesome site. I went through a whole seahorse love phase myself, until I found out that I couldn't keep corals with them:( :( :( . How tall is the 14 gallon? Seahorses like height.

I have a red head goby, a small snowflake eel, live rock, and i am planning on getting corals. the tank is about exactly 1 foot tall. it's one of those new oceanic bio cubes.

Your MAXED out with fish. In fact the eel needs to go and be replaced with something much smaller, like your goby. I don’t want to sound like an expert but your tank is doomed to failure if you keep the eel..... guaranteed.

water current has to be kept at a bear minimum for keeping horses..... trust me. wont work with the live rock to well

P.S.
you can get tank raised SH..
i actualy prefer that you do anyway.. easier to feed, and you wont contribute to the"kidnapping" of livestock

I hate to be a pain, but it won't work.

Like I said, larger breeds need tanks bigger than a 25 gallon to be successful.

Smaller breeds (dwarfs) need like a 10 gallon with no corals and no live rock.

That limits you... to nothing.

If you wish to keep a tank for horses, set up a speices only tank. And research before so you can build your system around the horses.

Good luck, and like I said, I am not trying to be a pain.
