Seahorse personalities...

I was wondering what personalities the different species have...is one more outgoing than the other? Do the species vary much in their activity levels? Is there a species that is more robust and less likely to get stressed out?

Of course there are always individual personalities within any species, but I was just curious about how the different species act in general and if they differ from one another. It may help me in my decision on which species to get for my SH tank.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Wow, I wish I had an answer, but I am just posting to say that we have the same name. Mines spelled Torrey. Are you guy or a girl. LOL

Sorry for being off topic. lol

It's hard to say. I think the personality is more specific to the individual then to the species for the most part. I have noticed that barbs seem to like to interact with people the most and are very active. I have the least interaction with the dwarves - but I still love the watch the little cuties.

IME reidi are the most beautiful and the most intellegent. Not that I'm bias or nothing. IMO all speciments of different species have there own personalities.

My kudas are usually friendly and gregarious, but if you cross them they can be vindictive and vengeful. God forbid you borrow something from them and forget to return it.

I figured that they would all have their own personalities...still I've heard snippets like kuda are very active (more so than erectus and reidi), so I didn't know if there were any other generalizations about them.

I finally got my feeding trough in the mail and I'll be driving up to Sehorse Source to get my horses soon...I can hardly wait! Of course, I'll be posting pictures when I get the new arrivals settled in.

Torrey, let's just say that if I were a seahorse, I wouldn't have to worry about picking up that stupid birth control pill prescription every month :D I see you're from Orlando...I was born and raised in Orlando...Longwood, actually, back when it was considered the sticks!

Hopefully my next thread will have pictures with my new horses!

Thanks for all of the input...
