try tropic quatics in lombard 630-953-2696. they usually have some black ones in for around 35 or so. they also have the yellow and black for a bit more.

Petland on rt.59 carries them from time to time, I'm not sure what species, good size but expensive.

I work right next to lombard, heading there tomorrow to check it out. Anything special to look for in a seahorse, this would be my first attempt (I have tank plumbed into my reef sump for seahorses only tank) Will they eat Rod food?
