Seas In The City

I just got back from vacation in Orlando, on my last day I visited a store every one seem to rave about on the ORCA website and forum, the name of the store was Sea in the city.
It was not easy to find as it is inside this small industrial park outside of downtown Orlando, When I arrived I was expecting a huge store but instead I was surprise that it was one of the smallest stores I have never been to, However, what this store lacks in size it more than make up in quality and variety of the product.
I was impressed with how clean and organized the entire place look specially the tanks; there was not one spec of algae on the glass, the fishes looked very healthy.
I was equally impressed with the SPS growth tank, it is very clean and the frags are shown in a very nice way, the mother colonies are in the same tank on the left and the cuttings already mounted on the right.
The coral frags were so nice and healthy the I had no choice but to buy a few frags which I am acclimating right now, I will post pics later, also, the owner was nice enough to give me a nice frag for free for taking the time to go visit her store.
The owners name was Marcey and she took great care of me while I was there, This store gets my thumbs up, too bad is so far, I encourage anyone visiting the city of Orlando to take the time to visit this great store, it is well worthy!

Wow, thanks for the very nice thumbs up, Rogger. Glad you could stop by and hope you enjoy the corals you bought today. Hopefully, we will have moved into our new building next door by the time you visit next. I had to laugh when you said it was the smallest store you've ever been to...:) I call it "The Barbie Store...;) Glad to meet your family and your kids were wonderful and very well behaved. You should be very proud. Thanks again for stopping by. Marcye

lived in N. Lauderdale. next time i go up to Orlando, definaetly going to stop in and check it out.

I 2nd that Rogger...I stopped in a few months back...I was very impressed...its a tiny little store....but its worth the stop to check it out. The owner was great! I loved how she took the time to show me everything she had! You hardly ever get that1 on 1 service down here! Great little store though...I too was very impressed!

Marcye is a great asset to us here in Orlando. I feel fortunate to have someone who really and truely cares about reefcaretaking and not making money. She needs and deserves all the business she gets. The flash on the camera took a lot of the colors out of the sps tank, which has some beautiful corals. The only problem is the size, which she is planning on fixing here in the near future(hint, hint). Also, she can find almost anything you need. I just cannot say enough about Marcye and her hidden treasure of a store.

The guy you are thinking of may have been, Doug, the previous owner. No disrespect whatsoever to Doug, but Marcye has really brought SITC to a new level.
