The April 8th SEASL meeting will be a visit to Kevin & Evia Carpenterââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Zilla III located at 628 Knollshire Way, O' Fallon, MO 63366, starting at 10 am.
Last year was our second visit to Kevinââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s tank. He has graciously invited us back to see how it has grown and matured. The tank is a 5000 gallon mini ocean. Come see the growth that has happened in the last year. You can preview the tank at Kevinââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s web site
Please plan on staying for a potluck lunch after the meeting. Please RSVP to Greg Frimel at GregFDDS@aol.com by March 31st.
Kevin will have hot dogs, hamburgers, soda, napkins, etc. for us, but would appreciate a volunteer cook or three to do the barbequing so that he can answer questions about the tank. Card tables and/or foldable chairs would also be appreciated.
Kevinââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Atlantic carpet anemones continue to reproduce, with 5-6 now present in the tank form the original one (#5 is in the process of splitting as of late March). The large leather coral has also recovered from the move and now is back to its formal glory. The Walt Smith coral fragment (received when SEASL had Walt to St. Louis) has also grown nicely along with the other corals.
Driving Directions:
40 to Winghaven, north to Feise (Winghaven turns into Bryan at Highway N) orââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦
70 to Bryan, south on Bryan to Feise (about 2 miles either way)
West on Feise about 3/4 mile to Devon (entrance to Bainbridge Subdivision) Third street on the left is Knollshire (first stop sign). Left to house.
We will vote on new officers for next year. Please present your membership card to obtain a ballot at the meeting. We will vote during the business portion of the meeting.
Greg, Brad & Becky
