Sebae Anemone Opinion?

They are nice looking anemones, usually sold bleached out it seems. Clowns don't normally host in them at all. But a healthy sebae is very pretty

Depends ... H.malu and h.crispa are sold under the sebae label.
Clarkiis will associate with h.malu.
Over a dozen types of clownfish will associate with h. Crispa ; clarkiis, melanopus, ephippium, latezonatus, perideraion, polymnus , sandaracinos, percula and other rarer species in the hobby trade.

So unless you have clarkiis it would be good to be absolutely certain of the specimen you're projecting to buy. They both generally ' ship ' better than h. Magnifica.
If you have ocellaris , magnifica's and gig's your better choices ,though I've had a few clients in the past who got their ocellaris to go in h.crispa...but i's obviously not the norm.....then again long ago I had a couple of gold band maroon live in a giant condylactis, but probably only because she killed their bubble tip.

Exactly right..
One word of cation is both varieties come in bleached allot. Do not buy a white one, make sure they are brown or cream colored if you do buy one.

If this is your first anemone start with a BTA they are far easier and most clowns in a aquarium will host it. Crispa and Malu are not the easiest of anemones.

I have one hosting a pair of maroon clowns but like the others said, they don't seem to do well . I had one that was brown in color and I put him in my tank and he disappeared the next day. He stayed behind and under the rocks for 38 days before he finally came out. The clowns are still with him but he is bleached out and I know he will die soon.
