securing leather coral

I have a small piece of leather coral that keeps un-wedging it self from where I put it. It seems happy for a few weeks and then I'll wake up to it inside of my caves. I pretty tired of pulling my rocks out to get to it. How can I secure it to a small rock? I have read that glue doesn't work too great. Can I rubber band the stalk to a rock?

You can use super glue gel and glue it to a rock, or you could put a toothpick through the base of the coral and then use rubber bands to secure it to the rock. Either method should work. After you do one of these put the coral in a low flow area for a week to give it time to secure itself to the rock.

I would not put the rubber band directly on the coral. It will most likely cause the leather to cut apart. I have always attached leathers by putting a tooth pick through the base and putting a rubber band around the tooth pick, not so tight that it rips through the bottom. Allowing the leather to attach itself. If the leather doesn't like where it is at or there is an irritant, it can detach itself.
