Well, this has been a wild ride!
this tank has gone through so many hardships, i cant even begin to list them all right here:
i accidently put a siphon tube covered in vegtable oil into the tank during one of the first water changes. that spiked the ammonia so much and made the water so milky, i thought for sure that the tank would crash. that was at the 1 month mark.
before that, i bought some LR from Premium Aquatics that i was pretty dissapointed in: almost no life what-so-ever. so i went to the local saltwater aquarium shop and purchased a single uncured piece of LR to help add life into the tank. yeah, bet you know where that went
another cycle! i didnt end up being able to put any livestock in this tank for nearly 3 months!
anyway, its now at the 6th month mark, and aside from not having too much in it: just one mushroom rock (which is spreading nicely) a small, nice zoa frag (that's also spreading nicely), a frogspawn, a yellow clown goby, after the suicidal dimise of my firefish(!) and a sexy shrimp!
so far, so good! i guess being patient really does pay off! water parameters are perfect and everything is doing oh so, so, so fine!
i cant wait to get my 20L with 175watts of pure halide power up and running! :smokin: tell me what you think!
