Seio 1500's as return pump?

I am buying two 1500 Seio's and was wondering if they could somehow be used as a return pump in a wet/dry filter. Looks like they have the oscillating return head on them for the powerhead application. I've never seen one in person to know if they can be used in such a manner.

They can't be used for a return pump. They are designed to create a gentle water movement over a larger area. I would say they would have zero output at 2' of head.
