Seio 820

My Seio 820s are sucking in air & putting microbubbles into my tank every minute of so. They are both about 4" below the surface. It's funny--the left one has been doing this for a while though, so I just soaked it in vinegar & it stopped. 1/2 hour later, the other one is doing it! It was cleaned about 2 weeks ago.

Why are they doing this & is this disturbing to the tank? It is to me! :mad2:

Too many bubbles will irritate your corals and make them slim up.

You could try to take off the outer slotted piece and just use the inner one giving it more surface area to pull from. There is a small area that is unprotected if you do this but i just put a turbo shell on it.

You could also just play around with the water flow around them. If you have greater flow around them a suction will not reach the water surface.
