Selling all the components of my 50 gallon frag tank: I will try first to sell the system all together for $750; if not I will sell the components individually. All items are used but in very good working condition (guaranteed). I will quote the asking sale price but for some items I will include the new price for comparison as well as vendor sites where you can get more details.
1) 50 gallon glass aquarium with sump and all the plumbing to circulate water in between sump and tank (see pic)
2) wood cabinet and hood, stained light cherry (see pic). Cabinet, hood, aquarium, sump and plumbing: asking $250.
3) lighting: 250 watt electronic ARO metal halide ballast, reflector and socket, asking $55 (new for $110 at www.hellolights.com)
4) lighting: 2 X 28 watt ARO compact fluorescent ballast, includes wiring, sockets, two new, unused fluorescent bulbs, asking $50 (new for $100 at www.hellolights.com)
5) Poseidon PS3 titanium water pump, 800 gallons per hour with 3 foot lift, asking $80 (new $170 at www.marinedepot.com)
6) Turbo Twist 3X UV 9 watt water sterilizer, asking $60 (new $120 at www.marinedepot.com)
7) Red Sea ozone generator, 50 mg/ hour output, includes air drier, asking $90 (new $200 at www.marinedepot.com)
8) Milwaukee SMS 125 ozone and pH controller, with two working electrodes in very good condition and calibration solutions, asking $100 (new $220 at www.marineandreef.com)
9) Two Sea Swirl 1/2 inch wavemakers, each rated at 550 gallons per hour, asking $150 for both (new $163 each at www.marinedepot.com)
10) AquaC Urchin Pro protein skimmer, asking $75 (new $214 at www.marinedepot.com)
I've had this frag setup running for a little over two years, took it down almost a year ago. I bought the tank, sump, cabinet and hood used and I stripped the old dark finish off the wood and stained and varnished with the lighter finish. All other components I bought new.
All the above items total $910, but if you take it all I will drop the total price to $750 and I will include 50 pounds of rock substrate. Otherwise the individual asking prices are listed above with the items.
Finally, separate from the above package deal is a used protein skimmer which is overkill for a 50 gallon system:
11) AquaC EV 180 protein skimmer with Rio 3100 pump and ozone fitting (new $390 at www.marinedepot.com). This skimmer is rated for aquaria as big as 200 gallons. There is a crack in the water-air mixing chamber that has been sealed and does not affect the operation of the skimmer, but because of the crack I am only asking $100 for the skimmer.
Send best offers via PMs please. Thanks.
