Initially, I was going to use this tank as a refugium on my 280 gal tank. After thinking about it for a while, I realized it would be a shame to use a nice tank like this as a fuge, when it should be a display tank...plus I want to upgrade my skimmer and need the $$$ to do so. Right now, I am selling this as a complete system. Next Thursday or Friday, if I don't have any serious offers, I will list the part out pricing. Until then, I will not keep track or respond to first in line, and hold this, etc...for the tank setup. Please don't post those requests until after I list the individual pricing. I will be attending the zoo event and am free during that day to help load the tank if someone from out of town wants it. Also, if I part out, that Saturday would be a good day to make arrangements for pickup or we could meet at the zoo a little early. I will post pics of everything by Saturday night. The tank is located at my parents' house in Chili.
If you have an old 75gal non RR tank or a Lifereef VS3-48 skimmer, we can negotiate some trades.
So $1000 will get you:
-125gal All Glass RR tank with dual overflows (72"x18" footprint, oak trim)
- Perfecto Pine stand (oak stain)
- Oak plywood canopy…perfect for compact fluorescents or VHOs.
- All plumbing…durso overflows, etc…
- 30gal. sump
- 20gal. Refugium with 32W PC ballast/reflector 1 used 6500K lamp and 1 new 50/50 lamp.
- Mag 9.5 return pump (in service for 2 years)
- 6x96W power compacts. Reflectors and ballasts from www.ahsupply.com (There’s still room to add one more row of 96W PCs if desired) I have 4 10K lamps with 8 months use on them and 2 420/460nm actinics with 2-3 months use on them (I can verifiy the usage on Saturday). I added this light setup to the tank in '03
- ASM G3 skimmer with Sedra 5000 needle wheel pump...no mods. Not currently used on this tank. I got this with the 280gal I purchased and the previous owner said he bought it new. It has about 2.5 total years use on it.
- Iwaki WMD-30RXLT pump. This was the main recirc pump used on the 280gal. It has 1.5 years use on it. I never used it, just cleaned it up. If used as a return pump, it is rated for 960gph at 4' head. You could use it as a CL pump and should get +/- 1100gph in that application.
- B-Ionic 2 part dosing system. Gallon containers I bought 2 years ago, but never used.
That's everything included for $1000.00
I will also look to sell a few pieces of liverock I have in the tank. These will be first come, first serve. Most of it is either covered with green/green striped shrooms, purple shrooms, green star polyps and I have one that has a purple m. digitata and 4-6 leathers on it with some xenia/shrooms. Depending on the size piece, I'm looking to get $20-$50/piece. The stuff not covered with corals will be transferred to another tank. I also have some zoo frags, leather frags, and xenia mounted which I'm looking to get $10-$20 per piece. If anyone wants some loose xenia, I could scrape some off the glass for you too. Right now, I do have flatworms in the tank. This weekend, I'm going to vacuum them up and then hit the tank with a heavy dose of flatworm exit. If you buy anything and it makes you feel better, I can soak it in a 10gal. tank with another heavy does of FWE or do a fresh water dip. I have had success this treatment method in the past. Also, everyone learn from my mistake...Always QT new additions to your tank!
Some misc. items I'm selling:
- $10 10gal sump with baffles (I’ll drill a hole for you if you want to use an external pump)
- $10 10gal reptile cage with sliding screen top
- $35 Amiracle overflow I bought used on RC and never set up. It has a hairline crack where you tighten connection to the sump. I filled it up and it never leaked...my plans to use it never came to pass.
As I mention earlier, I will post pics by Saturday evening for everything.
I'm not looking to ship anything right now.
