Sept 8th TBRC meeting & education presentation

Please join us for our Sept meeting at Carol, Joe(Safir here on RC), Matthew & James Andreini's home for our Sept. meeting. We will have an education topic this month presented by our very own Zach Ostroff. Please remember to bring a food item to share. The club will provide sodas and water for the event. We'll also hold our monthly membership raffle so if you are a paid 2018 member, you could win a $50 gift card to our sponsors just for being in attendance.

CORAL RESCUE​

Pillar coral are so rare in Florida, they are sometimes referred to as "unicorns" of the reef. When a wave of disease threatened to kill the few remaining pillar corals in the FL reef tract, The Florida Aquarium gained permission to frag as many colonies as they could for preservation in a living coral archive at their Center for Conservation in Apollo Beach.

We will see a presentation from the 2018 Regional Aquatics Workshop recently held at The Florida Aquarium, and get a preview of the Center for Conservation - a future field trip for TBRC!
