I'm setting up a aggressive tank for my wife. And it's cycling as we speak. I helped it along with a dead shrimp..the ammonia is still present..so the cycle isn't done...but I have some diatoms showing up already....or seems to be.and the water is looking a little brownish.....can I run a lil carbon to clear that up or should I just let it go? Not gonna do n e coral just fish n live rock...most likely will run biopellets since I don't want to run bioballs.
