Hi guys,

I have the ,main tank (250L) but have there a mated pair of occi (sopuse to be breeding pair but there is no eggs - 3 mont in the tank).

I'm going to bring a breeding pair in the 24HR.
I've an uncleanwith no water 14G tank with HOB filter.
Should I clean it up and fill water (RO water or filtered water it's fine for breeding tank?) and put the pair there? or take a risk and put with the pair in the main tank?

Thank you all.

Fill the 14g with water from your display.. Put a bit if LR in there from your DT also.. Then start your filter. Watch for ammonia spikes.. Daily water changes for a week should keep ammonia in check . When you do water changes I would use water from the DT and add the RO water back to that tank.

Just go out and buy 1/2" diametertubing from home depot.. Get some tubing long enough (hopefully the tanks arent too far for this) so you can just siphon water from you DT into wherever you set up your new tank.. I also do this for water changes.. You can just siphon water out of your tank and into the sink. I hook up a MJ 1200 to the tubing when refiling the tank with RO (and salt) water.

The tank for them is in the other place of the house :-)
and also it's 20:26 here.

Just now been told they have anemone they nest in here.
does it could stop their breeding totaly if I don't take tje anemone?

Hmmm.. So have you have already got them on the way or not>? cause if they are still in a good tank I would wait until you can get yours ready..

I would not take the anemone as it sounds like you will not have a suitable home for him.. Clownfish certainly do not need an anemone to breed.

you can still use the siphon technique.. Fill up larger rubbermaide containers and then using something like a skateboard to move the full tubs of water around. (youve got to be creative here cause manually getting one bucket at a time from DT and filling another tank or even doing water changes this way is too much)

It's what I'm doing now

No, I didn't get them yet. tomarrow first thing on the morrning I'm going to bring them.

I can put the anemone in the DT but I've already BTA in the DT.

Should I just put a flower pot in 14G breeding tank and hope they will ever breed again after they use to the anemone?

Flower pot should work fine.. They will breed again when they get comfortable in their new home.

you already have a BTA.. What are anemone are they in now?

also I would throw and airstone in your 14g, im not too familiar with how well HOB filters work to aerate the water. If you continue to use this tank long term you will have to make sure you have solid filtration to eliminate continuous water changes.

The sponge filter also hve been clean :-)

Don't know what anemone they are in, the guy I buy from him don't know the anemone name.In the near future I'm intened to brin PRIZM DELUX skimmer which help to mentain a good water.

Not sure what you mean by daily routine..

They eat twice a day.. I fee each clown probably 5-7 pellets of spectrum food 2x daily.. I change out the spectrum for mysis or cylopeez 2-3 times each week.. Maybe once every other week I get raw shrimp or a fish to feed them and my anemone (anemone gets lots of mysis and pellets also)..

During the day they swim around the same corner of the tank all day, when they get hungry they swim around looking for pods or watever they can find... at night they go to sleep

Lights are on about 12 hours a day

5 hours from now I'm going to bring them.
I need to put both male and female in they same bag or it dosent matter?
the trip back + putting them in the tank is 2 hours max.
