Setting up a Refugium?

I have had my tank up and running for a few weeks now with all the livestock in it. (I'll put pics up soon) I was just wondering the best way to set up my Refugium I have about two year old sand from an old bio cube with live rock and a live marine plant? But what else could I do?

I have also been trying to have lots of copepods in my tank and have bought a bottle of live copepods and dumped it in my Refugium what is the best way to ensure they breed and go throughout my tank.

I personally don't think sand is necessary because there's not enough of it to make a difference, and will just get nasty. I would pack it full of chaeto and light it well to get good growth. Pods will proliferate in the chaeto. I am not sure you can do anything to make more of them, other than adding more. They will populate quick enough on their own. Live rock and a lots of chaeto would give you the most benefit in my modest opinion. I don't even run a fuge, so what do I know...lol

Jay pretty much hit the Nail on the Head, I tried sand, It just got to be a Nuisance.I have rubble and Cheato, with some Gracilaria.Running a Current 36w T-5 fixture.

How bad did that tattoo hurt? Nevermind the fuge that is one sensitive area!!! Looks great by the way!!
