i have a metal haide pendant, ballast, and a power cord. how do i wire them all together. the pendant has a plug in attached to it, do i just cut that off so i can connect the wires to the ballast. how do i know which wires go to the pendant and which ones go to the powercord. there is a red, yellow, black, and white wire on the ballast. what do i need to connect the wires together.

for the power cord you need the black, white and a ground "green" or make a ground...the lamp is the red and yellow and a green if you got it or make it to...im assuming it's a mag. ballst rite?

that is an f-can, from what ive read it is a magnetic ballast just housed in an enclosure, but it is made for indoors so its more silent, most also have a thermal protector.

just the way i said..the green in the power cord grounds to the metal housing it sits in...if there is 3 wires to the lamp after you cut the plug off ground the green the same way and run the yellow and red to the others..

yesground it to the metal can that houses the ballast....and then hook the red and yellow to the other 2....

and ground the green in the power cord to the metal can also...
