ok I want to move everything from this tank into my 180. The 180 is an acrilic tank with built in wet dry. I have a 55 sump as well. I have a Coralife Super Skimmer 125 gallon(Needle Wheel Protein Skimmer) and a sea clone protein Skimmer. I also have a 2 foot uv steralizer hooked up to the return from the sump. Plenty of water movement, includes 3 aqua clear 70 power heads and a rio-180 power head. All the pumps are rio-2100's.
Now can I do this? What will die? The 180 has a 3 metal halide bulb fixture with actinic lights as well. About 80 pounds of live rock in it. The rock is not fully cycled but the levels in the tank are testing ok. The 72 has 100 pounds of live rock. Rock is fully cycled over a year old. Plenty of coraline! Little bit of an algae problem as described in above link, will this problem continue in 180 tank? Keep in mind the 180 is all RO water and so is the 72. The algae came from my 72 because I used tap water in the first 8 months.
Below is a list of all corals please tell me what might die due to the move. Is it possible that everything will live?
Green Birds nest acro
Couple brains
zooanthids
rock-based polyps(not sure of names but polyps grow of of
branches kinda and its Green.
xenia everywhere
clams(giga and purple)
Carpet anemone and long tentacle
2 plate acro(one with polyps the other with ridges)-again forget names
-------------------------------------
My plans to move tank
Put most of 72 water into 180. Put corals in buckets untill rock is set up. Keep fish in 72 untill move is complete. take top layers of sand bed and mud bed and put them in 55 refugium(180 tank) so some bacteria transfers through substrate into sump(show tank does not have sand bed).
Pics of 180 commin in 1 hour.
Any help here is appreciated.
Thanks
