Setting Up Ozmolator

The only thing I can think of in the way of a tip is, purchase another pump just to have in the event something happens to the original. This is a solid piece (Osmolator) of equipment IMO, but I have forgotten to refill my reservoir on a few occasions and the pump ran dry which, is something you don't want to happen. Its a pita to get going again. So, I purchased a spare so I can quickly replace the original when and if this happens again. This will allow you the time to repair the original. $23.00 at Marine Depot.

Another advice is to make sure the infra red level sensor is away from direct light source ie- fuge light in sump, or main lighting in tank. The lights can send the unit false info causing the pump to stay on. I run mine in the sump, with the float switch at just above the water line when return pump is off and it works flawless once set up properly.

And most importantly... Make sure the water line ends in a location higher than the water level of your water storage tank. If you don't do that, you will create a siphon and get a lot more water than what you want.
