Setting up powerheads/wavemaker

Would appreciate some advice re powerhead placement to be used with a wavemaker. Would you suggest placing the power heads higher up or lower down in the tank? On the back facing forward or on the left and right sides pointing at each other (alternating with the wavemaker)? Or does it not really matter?
