so, for the compatible fish and inverts, will they mind the cooler water?

As long as the temp is constant there should not be issues with tropical seahorses and those tankmates. The recommended temps aren't that low. I have kept many of the fish on that list at 72F.

For the temperate seahorses being kept in the high 50's to mid 60's the restrictions are far greater.
