Shallow carpet lighting

I'm about to be the recipient of an impulse purchase if my tank can handle it - nem gurus, is 160W of T5s over a 16" deep tank (40B) going to be sufficient? I have halides for a bigger tank later down the road - actually a 675W system - but that isn't feasible right now. I'm just looking to house this thing for a year or two if it's possible.

For whatever it's worth, it's a very little carpet, maybe 4" across.

That should be good enough lighting. Is it a haddoni, mertensii, or even a maxi mini carpet? Pix please...!!

Hard to say for sure but I'm pretty sure it's a young mertensii - bright yellow, tan tips, always up in the rocks.

I'd have gotten up a pic but I found it hiding in the rocks at the back of the tank. Not deflated or anything, just inaccessible. I'll get something up here as soon as I can because I am very interested in finding out for sure what this little guy is.
