I am still having difficulty in a feeding station for my ponies. I only have 2 of them in a 10 gal now. I am trying diligently to feedthem, but my efforts are cluttering the tank. I bought a parakeet feeder with a hood, and inverted the perch so the cup stays in the water. Then when placing the mysis in there, it floats up and out......So I need some ideas , your pictures of what you have for feeding stations for your little stallions /fillies. I am raising brine shimp in their tank so I am hoping at least they are eating that if they are not eating what is floating past them in the tank. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I use a plastic bathroom "cup thing" that has suction cups to hang some where. Also holes for toothbrushes. Check your local stores.

How do you introduce the food into the tank? Does it float around all over the place? This is where I am having difficulty. The breeder told me what they were doing, and I am having trouble visualizing this.( Had the same problems in chemistry & Geometry. )

First off, rinse in salt water, I just take it out of the tank. I used R/O water, but it changed the bouyancy and the mysis floated all over. Not a problem when rinsed in tank water.

I use a little pipette that comes in tank parameter testing kits. Just suck the stuff up, and squirt it in the cup. Ya, I stick my arm in the tank. Some people use an acrylic tube and let it fall down the tube.

My horses are all real friendly. I attribute it to the fact I've got my arm in the tank all the time.:D

Here is my feeding station. It is just a shell attached to a magfloat with super glue gel. I glued on a few rocks to and painted the mag float purple so it "blends".

I keep a bottle of salt water by the freezer just cuz it's easier then getting water out of the tank every day, the ATO will screw up the salinity in time.

I thaw the mysis in the water, then I rinse it under the sink. Then I dump it out into a plastic cup.

I take that cup over to the seahorse tank, and use a turky basterto put some tank water in the cup. I then use the same turkey baster to put the mysis and tank water into the feeding dish.
