Shaving Brush plant

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this plant. I have just purchused one because I have some algae issues, and I like the way it looks. Main reason for this post is that I have a gray area in my sand bed, and was wondering if I should plant it there or not.

Not sure how much light it needs but as long as it is not too dark you should be fine. After all, it is a plant so just keep that in mind. Sounds like you unfortunately have enough nutrients to keep it living tho.

have also heard mantis shrimp lay eggs in them quite readily so beware.

Thanks for the mantis egg warning. I took a close look after seeing your post, and didnt see anything abnormal in there. Do you know what they would look like?

I wouldn't worry about that, as long as there isn't actually a mantis in there. It's nearly impossible to raise mantis in the aquaria
