im getting out of the hobby and no one local seems intrested in my sps. what is required to ship them? do i need ice packs? the temp where im from.. so cal is in the 100s-110s

I would hold off till the heat wave is over, its just too risky right now. Try selling off local, that would be way better for the livestock.

Yeah, I'd wait abit. Heats gonna break sooner or later. Once back into the 90s you should have no problems as long as you use a cold pack.

It's not really hard. Make sure you deliver the package in the right before the shipper closes. Tape an icepack to the top of the inside of the box. It will keep it cool. It's even better if they pick up at the shipping center. If you styrofoam the box well also, it will insulate it very well.

Ive sent SPS everywhere..i ship them overnight but i drop them off at UPS/Fedex atleast an hour before they ship off..and thats usually around 5-6 PM. Not too be cocky but i have never seen better packing than the one i do (not even from those super coral online stores).. i use Lots of oxygen, LOTS of love and care, LOL..but seriously, ive shipped corals in the "warm" Texas summer..never lost a single thing. ive gotten emails from the buyers saying they looked amazing, all polyped out (dont know if thats a good thing or not)..and they still send me updated pics..
