Shop open to public?

Back maybe 3 years ago, I visited TBS on Dale Mabry. For various reasons, I had to suspend my reef ambitions. Now, I am looking to put together a nano tank and I am on the search again.

To my disappointment, I read that there is no TBS shop open to the public anymore. Is this true?

I have seen on this board that you can order online and arrange a local pick up. I will do that gladly, but since I am putting together a 5g nano, I want to be a bit selective in my rock.

I just found two weeks ago on hilsbrough the Marine Warehouse
I bought a large powder blue tang , a red sea purple tang. all doing well. I also bought some beautiful coral. it is a a very big place and they are very helpful. They have lots of rock to choose from. I live in pasco county and will be traveling to the warehouse for anything local.
If you order online, We ordered Fiji rock for around 2.99 a pound about 6 months ago and it has wonderful coralite on it already. no problems cycling.
good luck.

While I will always recommend TBS for liverock, if you are in/near the Tampa Bay Area, Marine Warehouse is the place to go for livestock, inverts, you name it. Wonderful staff! Wonderful Selection! You name it! I've been going there for years. They have a great selection of African Cichlids too!

Personally my utopia LFS would be Marine Warehouse selling TBS liverock. :-)
