Shops in Tucson

The only one I would go to is Southwest Saltwater, the rest aren't worth your time.

How nice is it? Do they have a decent selection of acro frags?

Somtimes they do and sometimes they don't, it can be hit or miss. When he gets his ORA shipments in there is a good selection, somtimes his buddy brings in a whole bunch of frags from his tank and a lot of them are really nice.

I've had the same experience. When it is good, it's a fun place to shop, but just as often there is not much to see.

That's pretty funny. Tucson isn't exactly a village. I would have expected two or more.

There are a few stores locally to chose from but Southwest Saltwater has a wider variety of stuff and a very nice display setup with the new solaris lights. His prices are alot better too.

Hey Tococat I just moved from Southern Cali and been here about six months. Just a heads up this aint cali so everything is a lot more expensive compared to California. There are two other places called Majestic and Oasis. Overall they too are alright.

There is also PetCo on Oracle Road that has a Saltwater section.

AWESOME.

I'm cool not stopping by Petco, but at the same time, the Petco by my work is actually decently maintained. I'm not saying it's the best, but the species they stock are appropriate for the pet insdustry, and their systems are better than 50% of the LFS I have seen.

Oasis is terrible, don't waste your time or money. Majestic has the best corals, but you will definitely pay for them and they aren't anything that can't be ordered online. Southwest has the best quality for the price, I can go in and actually find something that will look nice in my tank without spending so much money that I will regret buying it in the store instead of online.

Uh Oh, PM sent? I agree with Turbo but have to admit I have not been to oasis since the first Tucson Auction. That experience was enough for me to never want to do business with Hector again. Now that he's back here again maybe other folks will post their positive experience's, lmao!
