Shortage of Live Stock in SF?

Is something going on as it's been hard to get LR or corals in the SF area for the last few months? I've heard that from some that there's nothing coming in from overseas. Don't know if this is true or not.

Yes...but for months! I wanted to buy LR locally for a change last November from a LFS and was told they haven't gotten any from their supplier for months.

I check all the online guys and it seems to be business as usual. The only other thing that I've heard from reefer offline was that one of the big dealers in the Bay Area don't want to do LR business anymore.

Most shipments have halted due to the weather. It has been extremely cold the past few months where shipping live stocks would be a big no no.

Live rocks, that is usual. However, it could be coming from the same companies shipping live stocks. They may decide to halt all productions until the weather gets better.

Hmm I got LR no problem at Lucky Goldfish in Oakland a couple weeks back. I think it depends what supplier people use.
