Shots from my trip to St. Lucia

Here are a few shots from my recent trip to st. lucia. I'm still trying to get the hang of taking shots underwater, so the pictures aren't the greatest in the world. We got 7 dives in during our honeymoon. Although we were prepared to switch to a different op if we didn't like the one associated with the resort, we stuck with sandals the whole time.

Our dives were all 40-50 minutes long, with depths of up to 75 feet on some of the dives. I figured there's no sense in paying the extra money to dive with someone else for an extra 10-20 minutes of bottom time. It was our honeymoon after all, and there was drinking and relaxing to be had in the afternoons.

I hope you enjoy them, I'll try to get some more up later.

Looks like the honeymoon was a success on the diving! :p

Nice pictures as well, you really should practice alot more! HA! those are really some cool pictures and great quality.

I am working on getting my trip to Roatan last summer into photobucket album so I can share those.

That water clarity makes me so want to go diving!

Thanks, as I was telling everyone on the vacation, photoshop turns a mediocre photographer into a marginal one. The visibility was great down there, we generally had 40-60 feet of vis on our dives with closer to 80 feet at the pitons. The only thing I'm disappointed about with the diving is that we didn't find a sea horse, but everything else we saw made it for it I think.

Ended up getting more photos up on the web, so I added a few more to the post.

what dives did you do in St. Lucia? Went there in April and had an amazing time. Is that the Lesleen M wreck?

That was the leslie m, we also had two dives at the pitons (supermans flght or something like that, then a shallow reef across the bay), honeymooners cove i think, then a wall dive/shallow reef combo that I can't remember the name of right now.

It's an olympus c5050z in the olympus housing with a strobe. I bought it from my brother in law last year and haven't really had a chance to use it other than a two day trip last summer.

Which sandals resort did you stay at while you were there? I am going to be there on my honeymoon in 2 months

Awesome stuff. We stayed at the Regency in October of 06, great time. Did some snorkeling, no SCUBA however. Great visibility down there, and we went to a nice spot that was about 20-30 feet deep halfway between Soufriere and Castries. Eels, angels, parrotfish, and great coral all in shallow water no more than 100 yards from shore. Love the pics; wish I spent more time underwater to justify a nice camera like yours to the wife!!!!
