Should I be worried...

I picked this guy up today and brought him home. I didn't really get to inspect him like I normally would due to a sick kid taking most of my attention while at the store and when I got home. After putting him in the tank I noticed white blotchy spots in both sides of its body... Wondering if was caused by crappy diet prior to me taking him home or if I should be worried.

I am not familiar with that particular type of fish but it looks like it could be normal coloration for the fish. It doesn't appear to be Ich or velvet from what I can see in the pic. All you can do is monitor it at that point. If it changes then I would get it out of your tank and into a treatment tank ASAP.

It's swimming fine and are when I fed the tank earlier I didn't really notice the discoloration until my whites turned off.
