Should I drill new holes or plug existing in this 180?

So I am in the middle of a 180 tank upgrade from a 90 to 180 and in the process I am trying to make things easier and quieter then I have now. The tank was a custom tank and was drilled as shown below. The previous owner had the return over the top and the two holes with bulkheads and 45 degree elbows inside the tank for drainage. A long pipe ran between the two bulkheads and I think it was about a 2" pipe. The previous set up had the sump located remotely and used a Reeflo snapper was used as the return pump.

This is my first really big tank so I am wondering if I should drill more holes in the tank (bottom) and just plug these two then build two overflows? I like the tank the way it is, in that it does not have anything inside taking up space, but at the same time I want it to be as quiet as possible. Also if I add anything permanent to the back of the tank I will not be able to get it through the doorway. So I am kinda limited in my options :(. It may not be a big deal since it will be sitting behind the wall, but I wanted to explore my options.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Henry
