Should I fear Aiptasia

Nip it in the bud now. I have been battling aiptasia off and on for over 6 months now. Those little buggers pop up everywhere and anywhere. They are so frustrating. I am actually now battling them at night when the lights are off. I stand there with a flashlight and Joe's Juice and douse away...

Peppermint Shrimp and Coral Banded Shrimp are two entirely different sub-species. I have never read anything to indicate that Coral Banded Shrimp eat Aiptasia. True Peppermint Shrimp (not to be confused with the similarly marked Camel Shrimp) are known to consume small Aiptasia. If you have only one in your tank right now, kill it soon and prevent an infestation.

If it is indeed aiptasia, do everything in your power to remove it completely.

IME dont inject or buy fish. Remove the rock its on and use a screw driver to completely eradicate it. Remember any portion of it left will regrow and haunt you.

They have almost run me out of the hobby twice now.

Be afraid.............be very afraid...

I am shocked at how well the peppermint shrimps worked. All the aiptasia that I found is gone in less than 48 hours. good job little guys :)
