Should I force my Banggai Dad to release fry? (It's Day 31)

Ok

So here is my situation. My Banggais have spawned again and I placed the male carrying the eggs in a breeder basket about 2 weeks ago. This is his 3rd time carrying eggs and he has done a great job of releasing fry the past two times. It's Day 31 (it's too long I know). He has released probably 5 fry already. 2 are swimming and doing great, 3 are alive and well but hanging out on the bottom.

He still has fry in his mouth. There are tails hanging out of his mouth and I was certain he would release them all last night but he didn't. Should I force him to release? He is very skinny and I suspect he needs some nutrition.

If I should force a release, what's the best way without compromising the health of the dad and the fry?

Why it took 31 days is because I have all my equipment on two GFCI circuits and the circuit with the heaters tripped and were off for 4-5 days (tank temp was 68-69 degrees) during that span which I assume delayed development. Luckily I had no ill effects to fish for coral.

Your input is much appreciated!

Shew not everyone at once. lol

Well he spat the rest out last night. He only delivered 10 fry which means he ate some over that 31 day span.

Oh well. I will raise them.

In the future all that you need to do is lift the male up by his tail and he will drop the babies. Do an Internet search for "stripping fry". It is very common to do on freshwater cichlids.
